What is Sikat?

Sikat Solar Challenge Foundation, Inc. (SSCFI or Sikat) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to uplift the lives of Filipinos living in unelectrified rural communities by working through various organizations and helping them deliver innovative and sustainable renewable energy (RE) systems.

MISSION

  • Broaden linkages among businesses, educational institutions, government units, and communities in supporting the further development of renewable energy (RE)
  • Promote the study and application of renewable energy (RE) sources
  • Educate and engage the Filipino youth in promoting the use of clean renewable energy
  • Harness the creativity and talent of youth in developing practical and sustainable renewable energy (RE) solutions
